Healing the Heart in Divorce
If you are like most people, your life has had its darker times. You have probably experienced moments of anxiety, grief, anger, frustration and fear. You may have experienced periods of sorrow, as well as depression, low self-esteem, hopelessness or any of a wide variety of negative emotions.
What you may not realize is that some of these negative emotions may still be creating problems for you in subtle, yet very damaging ways. Much of our suffering is due to emotional energies that have become “trapped” within us.
Sometimes for reasons we do not yet understand, emotions do not process completely. In these cases, instead of simply experiencing the emotion and then moving on, the energy of the emotion becomes trapped within the physical body.
Trapped Emotions can cause you to make wrong assumptions, misinterpret behavior and damage relationships. Even worse, they can create depression, anxiety and other unwanted feelings that you can’t seem to shake. They can also interfere with proper function of your body’s organs and tissues, wreaking havoc on your physical health and causing pain, fatigue and illness.
From my 27 years as a holistic chiropractic physician, and in many years of teaching healers around the world, I am convinced that 90 percent or more of the physical pain that people experience is actually due toTrapped Emotionss. Yet many people have found that they can free themselves from their emotional baggage to live healthier and happier lives. Kim Dornbush is a good example.
Kim lives in Hidden Valley Lake, Calif. Her life has changed completely for the better as she used therapies outlined in my book The Emotion Code to clear Trapped Emotions and her “Heart-Wall.”
A Heart-Wall is a defense mechanism the body puts up in response to difficult emotional circumstances. They are very common. Our testing indicates that 93% of people have a Heart-Wall. Although Heart-Walls form to protect us from further trauma, they can hamper our ability to love, thrive and fully enjoy life as depression is a common side effect. In the United States alone, it is estimated that between 13 million and 14 million people suffer from depression. In fact, depression is the leading cause of disability in American women.
In Kim’s case, she had long suffered from depression, anxiety and feelings of low self-worth. “I put myself down and never felt good enough,” she recalled. “I compared myself to everyone and was extremely judgmental but most of the judgment was toward myself.”
Kim used The Emotion Code to release Trapped Emotions and to clear her Heart-Wall. This simple method, with its flow charts guided her through a series of questions to find her specific imbalances. Muscle testing allowed her to identifyTrapped Emotions and Heart-Wall emotions present in her body that were causing problems for her. She was then able to intentionally release the trapped energies as she followed the outlined protocol. Since doing this work, Kim says her life has improved dramatically, even as she went through her divorce.
“By releasing so manyTrapped Emotions, I have given my body room to open up to intuition and all kinds of gifts that were always there but they were buried under this negative energy of emotions,” she says. “I am discovering gifts I didn’t even know I had, and things are becoming easier to do because I don’t have the excess weight of emotions dragging me down.”
Kim says these changes enabled her to weather her divorce without bitterness and seek “the highest and best good for us both. I am finding out that we don’t have that much in common but because I have cleared all that hate, anger and resentment from my body, I am able to leave this marriage with compassion,” she says.
Amazingly, Kim says she feels she and her ex are now better friends than they were before they decided to go their separate ways. “We talk everything over from a heartfelt place. My husband is so impressed with how well I have dealt with all of this that he has asked me to start working on him on a regular basis, and that is big news.”
Like many people who have overcome Trapped Emotions and Heart-Walls, Kim has found joy as she has pursued training to empower herself to help heal others. “I am so grateful that I get to help others who are struggling with similar issues find peace and serenity once again,” she says.
